Born to a white mother and black father in the 50s, her mother decided to abandon her at the hospital. Donna's early life was spent moving throughout the foster care system. Through grace, she found a loving family and they would teach her how to reframe her experiences with an empowering attitude.
This attitude would serve her profoundly over the course of her life as she became entangled in an abusive relationship that nearly left her dead. Yet she forged ahead on her path as a single mother, entrepreneur, motivational speaker, and pastor.
